The Importance of Date Selection?
Whether you are investing in a new home, office building or retail spaces, everyone will want a good beginning. It is very important to select a good date for the start of renovation, moving in to the new premises, start a business or grand opening to ensure smooth sailing of the event, and avoid activating any negative energies or Qi such as the Five Yellow Sha (五黄煞), 3 Killings (三煞). These would cause problems to the occupants such as wealth loss, health problems, and/or issues related to career or relationship, etc.
There is a Chinese Saying: “不得真龙得日月，也得富贵旺人家”. This literally can be translated as follows:
“The occupants will enjoy prosperity and good fortune with a good date even they are unable to benefit from the Feng Shui aspect.”
This emphasizes the importance of Date Selection for any activities. A wrong timing could cause more problems and selecting an auspicious date and time could have avoid these in the first place, rather than implementing Feng Shui Cures to fix it later.
